DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy
Fix My Speaker (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of creators, developers, and copyright holders.
We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement. If you believe that any content on Fix My Speaker infringes upon your copyright, please follow the formal notice process outlined below.
1 Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must provide a written communication containing all of the following required elements:
Full legal name, valid email address, active phone number, and physical mailing address.
Detailed description or URL of the original, authorized material you believe has been infringed.
The exact, direct URL(s) on our website where the allegedly infringing material appears.
A statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information you submit is accurate and that:
- You are the copyright owner, or
- You are legally authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
A physical or valid electronic signature of the copyright owner or person authorized to act on their behalf.

3 What Happens After We Receive Your Notice
Upon receiving a bona fide, complete DMCA takedown notice:
- We will promptly review the claim and investigate the reported material.
- Access to the allegedly infringing content may be temporarily removed or disabled.
- We will notify the user or contributor responsible for the content (if applicable).
- The affected party may submit a counter-notification if they believe the takedown was an error or misidentification.
- If a valid counter-notification is received, the content may be restored within 10 to 14 business days, unless legal action is initiated by the original complainant.
4 Submitting a Counter-Notification
If material you posted was removed and you believe it was mistakenly identified or removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification.
A valid counter-notification must include:
- Your full name, physical address, telephone number, and email address.
- The specific URL where the material previously appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court and agreeing to accept service of process from the original claimant.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receiving a conforming counter-notification, we will forward a copy to the original complainant.
5 Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, Fix My Speaker maintains a strict policy to suspend, disable, or terminate access for users, contributors, or accounts that repeatedly infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others or abuse the DMCA notification system.
6 Misuse of DMCA Notices
Submitting false or fraudulent DMCA notices or counter-notices is a violation of law and may result in:
- Civil legal liability for monetary damages
- Financial and statutory penalties
- Immediate termination of site access and services
- Formal reporting to relevant legal and law enforcement authorities
